California has a new state department fighting identity theft. State Attorney General Kamala Harris anounced today that a new eCrime Unit has been formed under the the Department of Justice. The unit has been in operation since August and includes 20 attorneys and investigators They will be prosecuting identity theft, computer theft, child pornography and exploitation as well as other high tech crimes.
