Actress Sandra Oh who stars on the television show Grey’s Anatomy filed a police complaint of identity theft. Oh who plays Christina Yang on the hit show reported that the IRS contacted her regarding unpaid taxes. This was apparently for a job where she supposedly worked in a hotel in 2009.
Unaware of the problem, She first heard of the theft of her identity due to the IRS contact. It is most likely that someone else used her social security number to get the job.
She filed the identity theft report with Los Angeles Police claiming the someone used her identity and had used her social security number to file their taxes. It may be very difficult to find the culprit as there is a high rate of turnover in the hotel industry. Since she is a very public figure she should not have any trouble clearing her name with the Internal Revenue Service.
