We hear identity theft prevention tips every day, but how often do you hear about them from the actual identity theives? There are over 1400 persons convicted of identity theft in California prisons. Julie Watts of CBS5 in San Francisco was able to get access to a state prison and interviewed two inmates who where involved in identity theft.

The two thieves gave a number of tips from how they select the right bank teller to pass checks, tricks they use distract the tellers and when is the best time to go into the banks. They also tell in interesting way to they get around fingerprint checks. Included in the interview were also other tips that consumers can use to protect themselves from identity theft.
